After reading Kim Flottum
Hope You Like Beets, Because The Bee Crisis Could Soon Be Hitting the U.S.
Food Supply

What wonders me is that what Kim describe applies to most of the world at
the moment, for sure to my "operación" in the Ulmo country.
Most of the countries do not have the drive of Almonds and the need to
import bees on a permanent basis (we actually can do that), but since 2006
or so, the honey production decreased while increasing the difficulties to
keep colonies alive or wintering properly. For sure making increases is more
difficult.
This global conection is what wonders me.
