The Brown-Driver-Briggs Lexicon gives grape-syrup as an alternative m
eaning of DeBASH, so there may be something in this. The word undoubtedly
does mean honey in our sense at times, however. It's used, for instance, in
Judges 14:8, in the story of Sampson finding bees in the corpse of a lion.
