Nosema spores are held in water in labs prior to infecting bees in trials.
N apis spores can be stored for some time in cold water. N ceranae spores
are more fragile.

No research that I've seen, but I feel that it would be safe to assume that
such water sources would be major avenues for pathogen transmission.
