A highly respected and experienced local beekeeper (Dorset UK) melted down the
wax from a colony with AFB, made
foundation from it and gave it to a colony to work. They showed no subsequent
sign of AFB.
Has anyone considered processing bees wax in a pressure cooker that is used to
can vegetables? I'm thinking being subjected to the pressure and high temps in
a pressure cooker for an hour might work to do the sterilizing job. Not sure
how it would affect the wax. Mike in LA
