Yes, In SC if you leave the supers too long often the entire super is
damaged. Often there is no recovery if you let the super sit to long.
It probably only does take a few minutes to clean the super.

one can play with the # wax/frame but honey consumption is still a large
expense. Say the:
weight of wax in the frame that bees draw out is .25 pounds not .3333
pounds :

So, your total loss is still around $150-$175 This is significant. The
8.4 pounds of honey / pound of beeswax is significant multiplier.
