Hello,
I am seeking a website which might contain information
related to the 'world native distribution of honeybees',
biology, habitat, and related historical information etc.
Also seeking information related to the history of
beekeeping in Brazil prior to 1956 back to 1839. Particularly
interested in maladies, pests and parasites such as
Melaloncha Ronnai and other problems which may have
plagued bees in Brazil and caused mortality in bees
during the early years. My target investigations are
the forces behind the degradation of A. m. mellifera and
Apis m. lingustica in Brazil during the years prior to 1956
which facilitated the desire to import Apis m. scutellata.
Also,,
Is Spivaks manuscript on AHB in the early 90's available online?
Permission given to contact me in private email 'off list' if desired.
Thanks in advance!
Best Wishes,
Joe Waggle
