Our inspector just came and went through my hives....he picked my home yard
that is overstacked with some 70 hives(partially  because I am flooding the
area  with my drones)...he said my bees looked "better than ever".
Which is no surprise as we have had the best flow in years and I am
surrounded by beans /cotton.
I asked him (as I always do-with fear and trembling.) "How are my bees
stacking up against those in this area? Shoot me straight." He answered
"Good."
I was comforted as  I haven't treated for varroa in some 6 years as many of
you know. Most of those around me have as far as I know.

Now
I am interested in comments from you fellows that have been around for
awhile.

1-Have you noticed any changes in bee populations? Getting larger /
smaller/same? Estimated (rough)percentage if  a change?

2-What do you consider a good brood pattern(percent filled w/brood excluding
"edges"): 90+ %  95+% 98+%         ?

3-What do you consider an average brood pattern: 90+ %  95+% 98+%    ?
