Bonnie
Since hearing of this loss I can only think of the great laughs and great insight I received from Roy over the years I have known him.
Although I know that he has meant a lot to the science center field, I always felt that it was his one on one interaction where he had the greatest impact. Certainly it was the time he spent with a young manager that I look back on as one reason I am where I am today. I feel fortunate to have seen him again recently in Helsinki where I heard more amazing stories from the early days of ASTC.
Roy was both friend and mentor and although I can not be there August 4, 2005, I will not be wearing black or a tie! Rather I will have a martini, as I have done with Roy in the past and toast both him and the future.
Roy we will miss you but you will always be a part of what we do and what I do.
