I just came across this project by some folks in Charlottesville. The iPhone app is already complete, but they are raising funds to make the turntable, which really completes the package. It's not for archaeology specifically, but the applications are pretty obvious. They're sending me a prototype this weekend to test out on archaeological stuff. They need support, though!

While $60 feels like a lot for the turntable, when compared to costs of 3D software otherwise, it doesn't seem too bad considering.

I'll let you all know how my test run turns out!
