AIA SITE PRESERVATION GRANT: Applications
Deadline: February 15, 2012
***Please note, applicants must first submit an inquiry form. If approved, applicants will have until February 15 to complete a full application.
The AIA Site Preservation Grant is intended to fund projects that uphold the AIA's mission to preserve and promote the world's archaeological heritage for future generations. The goal of the grant, which carries a maximum value of $25,000 to be awarded over the course of one to three years, is to maximize global preservation efforts and awareness through AIA support. The AIA is targeting projects that not only seek to directly preserve archaeological sites, but those that also emphasize outreach, education, and best practices intended to create a positive impact on the local community, students, and the discipline of archaeology as a whole.

AIA SITE PRESERVATION AWARD: Call for Nominations
Deadline: May 1, 2012. Early submission is encouraged.
The Archaeological Institute of America’s Best Practices in Site Preservation Awards are presented to groups or projects recognized by their peers for doing exemplary work in the field of site preservation and conservation. A $5,000 grant will be awarded to the winners to further their best practices in site preservation.
Please nominate deserving projects through the nomination form on the AIA’s website at http://www.archaeological.org/sitepreservation/award.
