Are you only interested in American cities or are you interested in
comparing them to cities in places like Australia.

I have just completed a book for the Global Contributions to Historical
Archaeology series so I was faced with the problem of what to compare my
site too. I found not only was the Cypress Project database online - I would
think you would know about that one, but Australians have also put a
database from big urban digs on-line. It's called the Archaeology of the
Modern City Project and it's at  http://www.latrobe.edu.au/amc/
