Whether bees fly out and die on snow depends on how cold it is outside.
Here in MT, when its COLD, you don't see bees on snow. Sunny day, yes.
At 100 bees/day, 700 per week, you're not going to see strong hives
depopulate to a queen and 1-2 cups of bees in 2-3 weeks.
At 700 bees/week, and 4500-5000 bees per pound, its going to take a lot of
weeks to decimate any reasonably strong bee population. (It would take more
than 38 weeks for a six pound population of 27000 bees to drop to this
level).
Most of the collapses seen this fall/winter occurred in less than 3 weeks,
outdoors; 80 days indoors (in the sheds/cellars).
