What I do is buy a small kiddie pool made of hard plastic and pour in a 5 gallon bucket of gravel in the middle. Then cut or drill some drainage holes to keep the level about halfway so the bees can land on the gravel. ADD chlorine, as bees *seem* to prefer it somehow(from experience). Then buy a roll of half inch irrigation line(100 ft or 1000 ft) and run it from a faucet (add a splitter at the faucet too). Kink the end or buy the little figure 8 line to plug the end where it ends in the pool. Then put in the smallest dripper irrigation plug or put in a pinhole to keep the pool level up.
The swimming pool should be covered when not in use to train the bees to go to the new pool. Overall most people at least appreciate your attempts to divert the bees and wink a bit.
