Agreed, but they can cover the distance, state line to state line, in probably about an hour when driving I-10.  The loads probably don't even consider stopping anywhere in Alabama, let alone drop the cover screens that cover the hives.  Not much opportunity for bees to hop off and take up residence in Alabama.
