> this is a strong statement, Bob.
Will the below statement satisfy instead?
*Most* feed is passed within the hive to the area needed.
Using the example of syrup in a feeder the bees fill their honey stomach and
then transfer the syrup to another bee until placed in a cell for storage.
Of course keeping an amount for their selves. Not completely empting the
honey stomach of course.
Bees hoard feed. Unlike a mouse which in a cage visits the water bottle only
when water is needed.
The general understanding of bees is the forager bee returns with her load
and the load is transferred to the house bee for placement in the hive where
needed.
The above is a general rule and in my opinion the bees adhere to until a
strong influx of stores happen and then many times forager bees will by pass
the house bees. When i provide a top flight entrance into the supers you see
less of the food transfer and more placement directly by the forager bees.
I am not sure what part of my statement below you objected to?:
"All feed is passed within the hive to the area needed"
The word "all" was my guess.
