I have posted about this before, but I see things like it every year
around this time. If it does not look like classic AFB then I don't
worry about figuring out what it is. I fix it by requeening the hive.
I always use queen cells for this, and I feel that the delay in brood
rearing while the new queen mates helps the bees to stop the cycle for
whatever is killing the brood.
