ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Dear Colleagues,

I am trying to search the network for any institutions (natural history museums, science centers, aquariums, children's museums) that have delivered special programs, or even promoted special "days", for the LBGT community.  I am part of a consortium of ASTC professionals working on a series of session proposal for the 2010 meeting that are examining Diversity, Equity and the LBGT community in STC's.

The focuses are on:

1)     Programs and Activities to engage LGBT visitors (for guests/visitors, special programs for LBGT families, adult happy hours, etc)

2)     Shaping Internal Attitudes (think internal policies, staff/volunteer trainings, etc);

If you or someone in your institution has conducted any kind of programs or activities for this community, please contact me directly at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.  This seems to be the point form above where there are less examples in the STC world.
