Good Afternoon Laurie,
The Pink Palace Family of Museums www.memphismuseums.org is managed
through contractual partnership between the City of Memphis (Division of
Park Services) and Memphis Museums Inc. (a not for profit Tennessee
Corporation, described as a 501-c-3 organization).
The PPFM has several facilities -- including: a cultural and natural
history museum, planetarium, IMAX Theater; a nature center; a fossil
site and teaching/research facility; and two historical properties.
Please contact me if you need any further information.
Best Wishes,
Wesley

Is any science museum currently considered part of a city parks and
recreation system? If so, is it a partial or fully funded portion of
the system? Are there any pros/cons to considering this type of
collaboration? We are currently a completely private, non-profit
entity.
