When they swarm they fill their crops with honey before they leave. If the
hive has AFB the stored will be contaminated with spores, some of which may
get into their new home. Given a few days to use up what they have brought
with them all the spores should have left their bodies and be embedded in
wax or in stores within that wax. Separate the bees from that source of
re-infection and they should be ok for the time being. Don't forget to burn
the box and comb.
Thinking ahead, if the parent colony does have AFB, sooner or later, it
will be come weakened or die. Then the new lot may rob them out and pick up
the disease again.
