Way off beam Yoon. The USA has historically been one of the hardest
markets to get bees into..............for many years............until
special arrangements were made in response to need.........and even then
with heavy restrictions.
US is not being exploited, if they did not have buyers willing to take
them these bees would never leave Aussie shores. It could even be argued
that this is the US exploiting an Australian resource if you want to
start playing devils advocate.
I had a US breeder (not a big name) here with me a few years back who
just loved the bees we had and wanted to take some home with him. No way
whatsoever to get them into the country at that time. (This guy was very
ethical and did everything in accordance with the law.)
Mind you, sitting here in the EU, we do not need lessons from anyone
about how to erect a trade barrier.
