Bill T > Science is not always correct since there is bad and good science
(climategate anyone?).
Randy > Unfortunately, management decisions are often made on faulty
evidence. We only need to look at obvious "truths" that have later been
demonstrated to be in complete error--such as the blaming of heart disease
on animal fat, the blaming of silicone breast implants for connective tissue
disease, the blaming of vaccinations for autism, and the huge question of
whether we should change world energy policy based upon the debatable
concept of anthropogenic global warming.
In august 2009, when we were talking about fumidil drench I tried to get
some more dates of dissapearing bees events from BobH. I am too new in
beekeeping to have any memories at all ;)
Latter I posted:
Maybe is cause I am low on vitamin-D and need some sun ... compare your data
with the graph (small long one) on the following link
http://sidc.oma.be/. <http://sidc.oma.be/>
You will have to download it first (right buttom "save image as").
And received as answer from BobH:
**"Off to bed now juanse! hope I do not have nightmares about sun spots and ..
solar flares !"
I do not want to become a pro or con of climate change (or convince
any one of my personal views), I only want to have actual data of
beekeeping events of the past to relate to sun cycles and figure out
how to keep bees in this foreseable future.
Moderators can we talk about this? Can we try to relate past events to
sun cycles?
