Polish sources recommend 2-4 hives per 1 ha for good pollination.  The plant's flow lasts 3 weeks in May.  With good weather 1 ha can yield 150-200 kg of honey.  Canola/rape is the first major honey plant to bloom there. The honey crop often fails due to cool weather.
