We will see it stored in a small numbers of cells around the brood nest. I
know it is the supplement as we start feeding it when there is still snow on
the ground and there is "nothing" else available. They have to have a number
of flight days in a row for it to show up, otherwise they are using it as
fast as they bring it in. I have attributed this to the small amounts they
are able to carry compared to pollen. I doubt they are hauling 10% of their
pollen capacity.
