Hi Juanse and all
The original witewipe pads were introduced to Ontario beekeepers by
Medhat Nasr when he was working for the Ontario Beekeepers
Association. Dripac meat pads are soaked with 35-40ml 65% formic acid
(20ml for single brood chamber hives) and placed on the top bars of
the hive 6 times at 4 day intervals. I have done 24 hr mite drops
during the treatment and found that there is very little change in
the numbers of mites dropped until the 5th pad is on(16 days) with
the highest spike coming before the 6th pad is installed.
