This season when me bees start gathering Pine pollen, cause I knew that it
is not a good pollen source, I place an empty brood chambers (floor nailed
to super) with one old frame inside on top of and empty drum of honey (this
to avoid mice getting up).

Inside the box I placed 5 kg of Quinoa flour. Before putting the lid on we
crossed two pieces of 1"x1" wood. This to give space between the lid and the
box, allowing the bees to "rob" that hive without crowding in the entrance.

It worked great. Bees took most of it when the weather allowed them to fly.

The top of the flour got a bit hard on rainy/dump days. Each two to three
days we mixed everything or took the hard part / moulded part out.

We try this "brood chamber mega feeder" with other products (soya flour,
brewer yeast, egg) each time changing the old drawn comb. Bees find the
"will to be robed feeder" very fast and didn't stop working it till either
the weather stop them, the surface got hard or it was empty.

I hope I am not training my bees to be burglars ...
