subject: [BEE-L] Bee colonies depleting throughout Southern California

This article is an example of poor reporting!

Written by a reporter without a clue and getting his information from poor
sources. Keeps the CCD myth alive! Most reports say good bees arriving in
California so far I hear.
Not sure about California beeks bees. Randy?

From the above which are suspect:

Those pesky cell phone towers are the problem ( Monk with a single hive)

If not for my full time job beekeeping would have bankrupted me.( not a full
time beek)

$200 a year for mite treatments & additional feed a year.( wow! Hard to
believe)

$150 and more per hive for almond pollination.( Love to send a few loads )

I could go on but a very poor article on the subject but people reading
will believe and pass on!
