I encourage you all to watch this for an art/science intersection:

"Enormous Microscopic Evening examined the Hammer Museum from a microscopic perspective with CRITTER, a San Francisco-based salon dedicated to expanding the relationships between culture and the environment. The evening focused on demonstrations and workshops from 12 individuals or collectives (experts, amateurs, and hobbyists) about building and manipulating microscopes. Live materials and samples were taken from the museum courtyard and examined under the scopes."
