ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************
"Exhibit" and "exhibition" are synonyms in all dictionaries of American English. If differentiation is desired, there is no shortage of suitable terms: hall, gallery, wing, installation; display, component, case, kiosk, vitrine, interactive. In this particular instance, I was interested in either, and recognize that each will create different impacts, have a different influence.
While object theaters are a wonderfully evocative technology, they are not necessarily *digital* technology.
We had our follow-up discussion in class this week. Thanks to everyone for your input -- much of it was quite helpful!
