Heyo-
My understanding is that museums that participate in the passport
(reciprocal admission) program should have a small ASTC Logo on their
membership card somewhere and some kind of an expiration date. We train our
staff/front desk volunteers to look for this when admitting folks. The lack
of expiration dates presents a huge problem since benefits are for current
museum members and trust me, when you're at the front desk with a line out
the door, the last thing you want to do is make a tired mommy with her 2
screaming kids who have just driven 2 hours to get to your museum wait for
you to make a phone call. My thoughts for you: contact ASTC themselves and
see if there is an official policy for what needs to be on the cards in the
passport program. I'm guessing you should contact *Diane Frendak* the
membership director (ASTC Staff correct me if I'm wrong!!) They're great
people down there in DC and I'm sure would love to chat with someone as they
are snowed into their offices. ;-)

As it snows in Ithaca, I am already imagining Hawaii in October......
