I am paying $575 Canadian per metric tonne on a wet basis (77% sugars) 
picked up at the railyard from the tankcar.
Off for another seven tonne tomorrow in fact.  Max weight for the truck on 
the scales.

A tankertruck delivered of  HFCS55 worked out to about $740 Cdn per tonne on 
a dry basis compared to the last
quote I had on sucrose syrup delivered which was about $1100 per tonne on a 
dry basis, and that quote is almost
a month old and would be higher now.  So the difference this year is major. 
With sucrose syrup there is no rail
delivery here, and a tanker has to haul from Montreal, and even with a 
backhaul rate that is lots of trucking.  But
even the picked up in Montreal quote for sucrose is high.

But it hurts to read Bob's comments about the differences in longevity for 
corn vs cane.
