Only 110? Closer to 140 here, to get through until the dandelion
nectar flow. For wintering large clusters and continuous spring brood
rearing, bees need a considerable reserve...more than just enough to
survive. The extra 30 pounds of honey when turned into spring bees,
is worth more than the honey extracted in the fall.
