Has anyone else had this experience?
I have not heard of it in my experience. But the larger problem is that even
if it is a symptom, stomach cramps can come from a variety of causes so it
will be difficult to show that the stings were the immediate cause.
If you do not have an EpiPen, get one today. Your Doctor can prescribe them,
and they are an essential addition to any beekeepers medicine cabinet. In
your case, I would carry it with you when you work your bees. There are
incidences of beekeepers not making it from a backyard apiary to the house
because of anaphylactic shock.
One mitigating factor with your symptoms is that usually anaphylactic shock
symptoms start immediately after the sting with hives and difficulty
breathing, so what you describe is out of the norm but still possible.
