< So I'm interested to hear opinions of others on which system is the best
and why.
I use the Cloake Board method firstly because I take "normal" honey hives,
the best, to use. It is standard within our operation. If they get weak I
can just take them out and replace with other standard hives. I can graft
into this hive and then a week later take the sealed cells out and put into
other standard hives to keep warm and regraft. I only use an incubator for
the last night as this allows me to get an early start on catching day.
As I am grafting for 6 months straight it is a lot easier to use Cloake
Boards than the swarm box method which, in my experience, needs a lot more
work. If you are only doing one or two grafts, then the swarm box may be
suitable.
Hope this helps.
