Hi all,
I really like the B4 Hotshock for bears. About 10,000 volts at .37
joules or enough to knock me down on my butt. I recommend the alkaline
gel battery that will last for many months and don't bother with the
solar option for it. It's cheaper to just put in a new battery(once a
season for us in Michigan). You can hide it in a deep box inside the
fence. Make sure to buy the largest alkaline battery that costs about
$40. It is wide impedence which is good. Be sure to spray for weeds
still. A good ground can't be overlooked. When I check voltage to
dirt...about 7,000 volts. When I check voltage to the ground wire to
ground rod(s).....10,000 volts+.
You should also check out the tempory fences at the same company.
Just got in from setting our bees on Tupelo.
