That is why I said multiply and interbreed. If more than one foundress gets
into a cell, then the offspring interbreed. Otherwise they don't. They
don't need to, but interbreeding has advantages for the mites. Perhaps that
is another reason why when mites get above a threshold level, the effect
avalanches?
