Here's a unique idea - rotating brood frames for varroa control. The
concpet is that varroa mites like to lay in the upper part of cells, but if the
cells keep changing position, the mite has no way to orient.
Apparently, this has been around for some time, out of Hungary. If you
Google Konya hive under images, you will see pictures of the wooden protoype
from around 2001. There's now a company selling these in a plastic
version, complete with motor-drive that is solar-powered.
