While we were lifting brood today, one of my men found a hive in which the drones had yellow/green (almost fluorescent) eyes.  I've seen different shades of reds and browns before but this was pretty weird.  At first glance at the frame, you think you're seeing just another colour of pollen. Then you focus and you realize that these are the heads of drones not the legs of workers.  Something new for this outfit anyways.
