*****************************************************************************

There are spots still available for informal educators to showcase their projects and programs at the National Science Teachers Association annual conference in Philadelphia (March 18-21, 2010). All are welcome: educators from museums, science centers, community-based programs, media, aquariums, zoos, nature centers, parks, planetariums, science theater, and other science-based out-of-school experiences.

The Details:

Share-a-thon participants must register for the NSTA 2010 Conference.

Friday, March 19 is Informal Science Day, with presentations in the Philadelphia Marriott - Grand Salons E/F until 2:30 pm. Setup time for the Share-a-thon will be from 3-4 pm; the Share-a-thon runs from 4 to 6 pm.

How to apply:

E-mail the information below to [log in to unmask] by February 26, 2010 with a heading that says “NSTA.”

            ►Your name

            ►Your e-mail address

►Your institution, program, project or company name

►Street mailing address, including zip code

►Your website, if you have one

            ►25 word title of your Share-A-Thon exhibit/activity

►200 word description of how you will use your table space and interact with the audience

Procedure: All applications will be reviewed. Your acceptance e-mail will include an attached electronic NSTA confirmation form which must be signed and faxed back immediately to NSTA.

Please note: electric power will not be available for each table; bring battery powered equipment if needed. We will not have an internet connection. In planning your use of space, consider that there will be many presenters in one room; if your display or activity involves audio, please ensure that the sound remains localized.

This event is sponsored by NSTA’s Informal Science Committee.
