Bernoulli blowers are certainly one of those exhibits where visitors can have a blast (ha) playing with it but walk away without a clue as to what is really happening. Personally I don't think that is any reason at all to dismiss it as a valid experience. At the Children's Museum in Austin we often had demos set up for kids to try other examples. Things like blowing between two soda cans.

From a practical standpoint they are so simple to build and so much fun, who can resist. The challenge is making them more than just a fun house activity and making them safe and easy to maintain. Oh and as quiet as possible.

My favorite additions were light weight scarves to launch and seeing how many ping pong balls you could get to orbit around each other before they fell.
