Statistical Research, Inc. (SRI), a multidisciplinary cultural resources consulting firm, has one full-time position available for a historical archaeologist at the project director level. SRI provides comprehensive cultural resource management services to private and government clients at the federal, state, and local levels throughout the western United States from offices in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Texas, and Washington. SRI is a member of the American Cultural Resources Association.

After completing a 4-6-week orientation period in SRI's Tucson, AZ, office, the successful applicant will have the choice of being based in one of the following SRI offices: Redlands, CA, or Albuquerque, NM. Applicants must be willing to travel and to accept short-term assignment to other SRI offices, as required.

Applicants must have documented experience excavating and evaluating historical-period sites, analyzing and writing up historical-period artifacts, performing archival research, and synthesizing and writing up the results of research. Applicants should minimally possess a Master's degree in Anthropology, specializing in historical archaeology, or a related field,  meet the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualification Standards, and be a Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) or be eligible for RPA. RPA registration is required if hired. Experience in researching the history of California or the American Southwest is preferred. Experience with architectural history and/or a reading competency in Spanish are a plus.
