Hello David & All,

I agree! Also David Mendez.

I agree . We are going to have to learn to live with the problem and best we
can hope for is some label changes.

I agree! for the commercial beekeeper a key is the prolific bee. prolific
bees swarm! prolific bees make increase and put up honey.
We need to carefully select from today's queen choices David. Of course this
list is not all commercial beekeepers and many of the hobby and sideliners
have a completely different view point .
>The other thing that drives me crazy is the old school ,out dated test for
hygienic behavior of cutting out a chunk of brood and freezing it,then
putting it back in the hive.
I listen to many about the pin prick method and the method David speaks of.
Get a piece of 3 or 4 inch PVC. A bottle of nitrogen and freeze the brood.
So easy!
The procedure is explained (with pictures) by me in the January 2005 issue
of the American Bee journal
"21 st century beekeeping"
Also in the December 2004 ( maybe January 2005) Bee Culture article (with
picture) by me on the Russian bee.

Are you in Lake County David?
When you get caught up email me what you are seeing off list and I will try
to help find a solution.
