>Out of curiosity, what do you consider to be ideal broodnest temperature.?

I can only cite what researchers have found with thermometers. Jurgen Tautz
found broodnest 33-36C, queen cells 35C (95F). I have run my incubator at
93-94 range to avoid the potential overheating flash that you mention, but
armed with Tautz' figure, perhaps I'll raise it a degree! I keep bottles of
water inside to act as heat moderators, and use a low mass heating element
to avoid temperature upswings.
