ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Greetings from New Mexico.
I am interested in hearing from folks who have launched a fully
interactive distance learning program, which we are planning to do in a
couple years. Some of the questions I would like answered are:
- do you offer fully interactive programs/tours, canned programs/tours,
or both?
- do you connect with multiple classrooms simultaneously? what is the
typical classroom size that you serve?
- what is the length of the typical program/tour?
- do you use education staff or paid performers to deliver the
programs/tours?
- do you provide pre- and post-program materials to teachers?
- is classroom technology and equipment a stumbling block to building
your customer base?
- how long have you been offering distance learning, and how many venues
do you serve annually?
- what was your greatest challenge in launching this sort of program?
Thanks very much for your feedback,
Karen Keese
