Has anyone had any success in upholding Minnesota's statute #181.939
which "allows" women time to pump at work? The piece of the statute that
isn't clear and leaves it up to the employer more or less is "An employer is not
required to provide break time under this section if to do so would unduly
disrupt the operations of the employer." I am trying to assist a client who is
returning to work at 6 wks post partum and has been told that she will not be
allowed time to pump. She is a server at a bar and one of her shifts is 9 hours
long! She also has 3 other co-workers who are trying to breastfeed and are
not being allowed time.
