Here's an interesting paper that involves several popular Science Center exhibits as measurement instruments, the Stroop Effect, and Reading with Distraction, for example.

It's a pretty fun paper. The results are statistically significant, the sample small, and the broad inference probably pretty minimal, it's an interesting piece of evidence.
