Hi Mike-
A local museum attempted to use teacher developed ed material for
their projects. They posted the material on their website and later
asked for review by the faculty of my STEM Dept (review for age
appropriate and content). We found significant errors of content and
poor interpretation of research and theory-based instructional
strategies. Immediate action was taken to remove the material from
their website. My tip is to use teachers for the expertise that they
are educated for which is implementation of curriculum/ ed material
and not to design it. Most curriculum is supported by years of
evaluation and refining- Hope this helps, Brenda
