The New York Hall of Science has a computer genetics traits exhibit, as part
of their Marvelous Molecules exhibition.
You do have to be careful with traits that are rumored as being simply
inherited, when there may be environmental factors at work too, or more than
one gene involved. I think more qualifiers are generally needed in these
exhibits and classroom activities.
I don't know how many people leave genetic traits exhibits wondering about
what the inheritance patterns in their own families mean.....
