For those considering the use of acidified bleach, be aware that the mixing
of bleach and any acid (even vinegar) can cause the release of toxic
chlorine gas!

I just performed a small-scale kitchen experiment to confirm. Mixing 1:10
bleach:water, then adding 1 part of white vinegar released a noticable
amount of chlorine gas.

I wouldn't use acidified bleach as previously posted in this thread without
adequate ventilation!
