Ok, since you mentioned the pretzel museum, I have to chime in about the
Mustard Museum in Mount Horeb, WI (near Madison).  

To the casual visitor, it might appear to be simply a mustard store
(albeit a very thorough one), but there is in fact some evidence to
support their claim to museumosity. And it's yummy.

While it might be somewhat out-of-date, there's a wonderful guide book
for little museums (by state):

Bristol, CT has a museum of carousels:

And as many of you no doubt know, Philadelphia is home to the uber-weird

Sadly, Philly's pretzel museum has closed.


There does not appear to be a cheesesteak museum,
