I am mostly familiar with the Bay Area where we had ALOT of acorn
woodpeckers. Did you try Coyote Point Museum, Pt. Reyes NS, Effie Yeaw,
Lindsay Wildlife Museum, Big Basin Redwoods State Park, Jasper Ridge
(Stanford U.), Coyote Hills Regional Park, Mount Diablo, or Henry Coe
State Park? You might also try the open space trust members listed here:
http://www.openspacetrust.org/partners/index.html. There are a number of
parks and nature centers that they can refer you to. If you need more
detailed info, you can contact me offline. Good luck!

Hey All,
Does anybody out there have a taxidermied acorn woodpecker ( Melanerpes
formicivorus) that would be willing to part with? I need one for a new
nature center in Newport Beach, CA. If you don't have one but have a lead
on where to look that would be much appreciated as well.
Mike
